Day 1: Hanoi on Arrival – Welcome Dinner
You will be greeted at Noi Bai International Airport by our guide then escort you direct to center of Hanoi. In the afternoon start tour visit Hoa Lo Prison "Hilton Hotel", War Museum, Temple of Literature, then you will attempting to the Water Puppet show before enjoy welcome dinner at local restaurant and overnight in Hotel in Hanoi (Basing in Deluxe Double/Twin City View Room)
Day 2: Hanoi – Son La – Dien Bien Phu (B/L/D)
After breakfast, we will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi to depart for Dien Bien Phu. Stop for lunch at a local house with White Tai minority peoples in Mai Chau before proceeding further to Son La with ample stop en route to take photos. Head out to Dien Bien Phu, stop en route to visit colorful Thuan Chau market and view the attractive mountain villages of the H'Mong and White Tai ethnic minorities. Arrive in Dien Bien Phu late in the afternoon. Check into hotel in Dien Bien. At night: over night in Hotel in Dien Bien (Basing in Deluxe Double/Twin Mountain View Room)
Day 3: Dien Bien Phu – Sightseeing (B/L/D)
Tour of the historical sites at Dien Bien Phu, including the Dien Bien Phu Exhibition Centre and the Revolutionary Heroes' Cemetery. Visit the most notorious battle sites of the military siege, such as Hill A1 (known as Elaine Two by the French), de Castries' Bunker, and the airport. The afternoon is free for rest and leisure. Day 4: Departure Dien Bien Phu – Flight to Ha Noi – Conecting Flight to Hue (B)
The morning is free for your own exploration around area. Afternoon our guide and private car transfer you to Dien Bien Airport to catch flight (VN495 – 15.00) back to Hanoi. At Noi Bai Airport you will catch connecting flight (VN247 – 18.45) to Hue. You will be greeted at Phu Bai Airport by our guide & escort you direct to center of Hue. Day 5: Hue - DMZ (B/L)
A short ride takes us through the former D.M.Z. (Demilitarized Zone) toward the Vinh MocTunnels. Local villagers built these tunnels to escape the aerial bombing during the 1960's and were the birthplace of some 30 children. Enjoy lunch at local restaurant.
This afternoon we visit the site of one of the fiercest battles of the Vietnam War - the infamous Marine base of Khe Sanh. Situated on a raised plateau and surrounded by mountains, this former airfield is still littered with shrapnel and craters some 30 years on. Along the way we pass by Doc Mieu firebase and remote hill tribe villages where the lifestyle has changed little since the end of the war. Our expert local guide will describe the battles that took place in these areas, remnants of which can be viewed along the way. Day 6: Hue – Private Road Trip to Da Nang (B/L)
After breakfast our guide and private car will transfer you to Da Nang City where we will visit the intriguing Cham museum, former US Consulate, War Museum. Afternoon visit Nuoc Man heliport, Marble Mountain, China Beach, My Khe beach. Dinner and over night in Hotel in Da Nang (Basing in Deluxe Double/Twin Room)
Day 7: Departure Danang – Flight to Ho Chi Minh City (B/L)
After breakfast, our guide and private car will transfer you direct to Dang Nang Airport to catch flight to Ho Chi Minh City - the bustling city where we will visit Independence Palace and War Remnants Museum. Day 8: Ho Chi Minh - Vung Tau (B/L)
This morning start tour travel to Vung Tau, home of the Australian Task Force during the VietnamWar. After touring the city and Back Beach we pick up a specialist local guide to visit Nui Dat. We have time to climb SAS Hill and view the areas of former Australian operations before moving to the site of the Long Tan Cross.
After lunch we visit Long Phuoc tunnels and have an opportunity to talk to the local people about their memories and experiences living in this area during the conflict. Late afternoon we return to Saigon. At night: overnight in Hotel in Ho Chi Minh (Basing in Deluxe Double/Twin City View Room)
Day 9: Ho Chi Minh - Cu Chi Tunnel and Cao Dai Temple (B/L)
AM: Depart at 8h00 from hotel. The morning excursion to Tay Ninh will take you to the Great Cao Dai temple ( a mixture of Buddism, Confucius, Taoism, Hinduism and Christian ). We see the noon mass at the temple ( 01hr ). Lunch in Tay Ninh province ( free time, exclusive )
PM: Afternoon, visit the Cu Chi- a fabulous tunnel. You will have a chance to get the unique experience of guerillas living and fighting underground during the war ( a crawls through 50-100m out 200km of the tunnel system is unforgettable ). Local rice paper workshops, nice paddy field are pleasant sights on the way. At Night: Overnight in Hotel in Ho Chi Minh (Basing in Deluxe Double/Twin City View Room)
Day 10: Departure Ho Chi Minh (B)
After breakfast, relaxing and discover Ho Chi Minh by your own until our guide and private car pick up and transfer to Tan Son Nhat International Airport for your ownwards flight departure home or more visit other countries. End of your tour itinerary.
