Descriptions

Sapa is located in Lao Cai province, 350 km from Hanoi, close to the border with China. The Hoang Lien Son range of mountains dominates the district, which is at the eastern extremity of the Himalayas. This range includes Vietnam’s highest peak, Fansipan, at a high of 3142m above sea level and a vast area covered by thick forest, rich in wildlife. The town of Sapa lies at the attitude of about 1,600m. The climate is moderate, cool in summer, foggy and cold in winter with occasional snowfall. Sapa is home to a great diversity of ethnic minority people. It is likely that, Sapa was first inhabited by highland minorities of H’mong and Yao group and later came the Tay, Zay, and a small number of Xa Pho to form the 5 main ethnic groups which takes about 85% of the district’s population today and a very small number of them live in Sapa town, most of themlive in small villages and hamlets scattering in valleys and hamlets scattering in valleys and mountains throughout the district.

Night 1: 8:30 Pm depart from your Hotel by private car to Hanoi Rail way station B and catch the 9:30Pm night train to Lao Cai . Overnight on train (Basing in First Class Soft Sleeper 4 beds Wooden Cabin with Air-condition).

Day 1: Lao Cai – Sapa – Cat Cat (B,L,D)

In the early morning: Upon arrive by train to Lao Cai Station 5:00 or 5:30Am, our guide will pick you up then transfer by minivan / bus ride up hill to Sa Pa takes a little over an hour giving you a glimpse of the stunning vistas and impressive rice terraces. Check into your hotel then breakfast. Optional discovery Sapa Town in the morning by your own. Until luch time enjoy a lunch of local Vietnamese food then at 1:00pm start trekking (3hrs) to Cat Cat waterfall to visit Black H’Mong minority. Return to Sa Pa, time for a shower and a rest before heading out for dinner. Overnight in hotel in Sapa (Basing in Deluxe Double/Twin Mountain View Room)

Day 2: Sapa – Lao Chai & Ta Van Villages - Lao Cai – Hanoi by Night Train (B,L)

In the morning: after breakfast, start trekking (5hrs) down the valley along local trails and across rice paddies to visit Black H’Mong, Dzay and Red Dzao minority with picnic lunch along the way. Jeep pick up to Sa Pa. Time have free shower in hotel before Bus departs in Sa Pa 4:30pm, arrive Lao Cai 6:00pm catch a night train back to Ha Noi (Basing in First Class Soft Sleeper 4 beds Wooden Cabin with Air-condition).

Day 3: Hanoi Arrive

Trip ends 5:00-5:30am at Ha Noi train station.
