With 25,000 hectares and 140 km South of Hanoi, Cuc Phuong is the first National Park of Vietnam which was established in 1962. The botanical richness of the forest is impressive as it supports a wide variety of flora species and patches of primeval forest, including ancient trees with thick clusters of roots, and parasitic plants and ligneous creepers.
Cuc Phuong National Park is one of Vietnam’s most beautiful and important protected areas and easily accessible from Hanoi - only a 2 ½ hour journey by road. The ancient forest contains almost 2000 species of trees and amongst them lives some amazing and rare animals including the Clouded leopard, Delacour’s Langur, Owston’s Civet, Otters and Asian Black Bears!

Day 1: Ha Noi – Cuc Phuong National Park – Hotel Overnight (B/L/D)
7.00: Pick up from Victory Hotel – 15 Nguyen Nhu Do Str., transfer to Hanoi Fortune Hotel for quick c/in. Breakfast then depart from Hanoi Fortune Hotel y private car & guide directly to Cuc Phuong National Park. First, we visit the Endangered Primates Rescue Center. Have lunch at Cuc Phuong Guest house and check in. In the afternoon, visit the flora, fauna and one-thousand-year-old sequoia tree, and the cave of Prehistoric man in Cuc Phuong National Park. Dinner and overnight at Cuc Phuong National Park. (Basing in Deluxe Double/Twin Room)
Day 2: Cuc Phuong National Park - Kenh Ga - Hoa Lu/Tam Coc – Hanoi – Hotel Overnight (B/L)
After breakfast, we leave the Cuc Phuong to visit Kenh Ga. Enjoy a boat trip along Hoang Long River to contemplate the beauty of the natural landscape and then visit Hot Spring, Van Trinh Cave. Have lunch at local restaurant.
After lunch we take a short drive to Hoa Lu -(Motor Bike is Available) an ancient capital of Vietnam - and the remaining two temples of Dinh King and Le King, and then drive back to Hanoi, drop you at hotel, tour ends at about 17.30.

Inside Cuc Phuong National Park, some tree species have been introduced from Burma, India, and Borneo. Clusters of orchards grow near cave entrances, where the moisture conditions and light are ideal. Varieties include thousand-year dracontomelum and parashorea trees which can be visited in a one or two hour hiking, and coral, vanilla, snow-white, and butterfly orchids everywhere. Large mammals inhabit the park including panthers and bears, but rarely appear, so the most popular animals you can see are monkeys, gibbons, flying squirrels and pheasants. There are also over 120 species of birds and many varieties of beetles living here, and April and May arrive swarms of butterflies. At night, million of cicadas create a deafening din, and million of fireflies flicker about.
Lying in a limestone area, Cuc Phuong includes numerous caves. At "Nguoi Xua" (Cave of Early Man), two ancient tombs have been discovered, along with Neolithic remains and evidence of stone implements; there have been similar finds at Trang Khuyet (Crescent Moon), Thanh Minh, and Con Mong Caves. Hang Dan Cave is known for its bat population. Hiking in Cuc Phuong is following some kilometers of trails and passing through old-growth forest with long vines wrapped around strangled trees, visiting the caves, waterfalls and streams in the forest or stopping over at a Muong ethnic’s village…
